Cara back up data dan system di windows xp
Backup data sangat diperlukan untuk menjaga keamanan data. Jika terjadi hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan seperti bad sector atau bad block, windows rusak, data terhapus, harddisk terformat dan lain sebagainya yang menyebabkan data bisa hilang, maka data masih terselamatkan. Backup data ini dapat dilakukan dari partisi ke partisi lain, backup folder maupun backup system. Dengan demikian jika terjadi kerusakan harddisk maupun data rusak atau hilang, maka data akan masih bisa munculkan dan dipergunakan kembali dengan restore backup data tadi.
Pada operating system windows, telah disediakan fasilitas untuk membackup data yang mudah sekali pengoperasiannya. Langkah-langkah backup data dapat diikuti langkah-langkahnya seperti dibawah ini :
1. Start > all programs > accessories > System tools > Backup
2. Muncul jendela wizard backup atau restore dan klik next
3. Pilih back up files and setting > klik next
4. Terdapat empat pilihan backup :
- My documents and settings ( hanya foder my documents, favorites, desktop dan cookies)
- Everyone’s documents and settings (foder my documents, favorites, desktop dan cookies dari semua user)
- All information on this computer ( segala informasi yang ada )
- Let me choose what to back up ( hanya pilihan yang dikehendaki )
- Klik next
5.Pilih tempat menyimpan back up dan beri nama backup sesuai dengan kehenedak dan pastikan bahwa volumenya cukup untuk menyimpan file backup. Klik next
6.Klik finish
7.Proses backup akan berjalan dan tunggu sampai proses selesai
Untuk restore back up data lakukan langkah 1 sampai 3 kemudian pilih restore files and settings. Kemudian pilih lokasi file backup yang tersimpan. Dan ikuti instruksinya sampai selesai.
